Pastel Pink Himialyan Ice Nirvana Quartz Pendant

This kind of crystal goes by many names: Rosie Kullu, Himalayan Ice Quartz, Nirvana Quartz and Growth Interference Crystal. Due to planetary changes, ice has been disappearing from some of the higher elevations in the Himalayas. These crystals were hiding in the ice for eons and became available to mankind (discovered in 2006). They are a spectacular form of growth interference quartz, which means a secondary mineral was present during crystallization (calcite) that later washed away leaving all the beautiful patterns of nooks and crannies!

This is a beautiful specimen with good clarity, intact termination and pastel pink color.

The pendant measures just over 2 inches long, including the bail.

Unwrapped Himalayan Ice quartz crystal point measures 23 mm long, 14 mm wide and 12 mm thick; it weighs 5.5 grams or 27 carats.
